The Director General of the Port of Nouadhibou inspects the rehabilitation of the commercial quay.
As part of the continuous follow-up on developmental projects, the Director General, Mr. Ahmed Ould Sid Ahmed Ould Die, conducted an inspection visit on Thursday, July 3, 2025, to assess the latest developments in the project for the completion of the rehabilitation of the commercial dock.
He was accompanied during the tour by a team of engineers and supervisors overseeing the project, where he directly observed the progress of the work.
The tour included visits to various construction sites, where the Director General listened to a detailed explanation about the ongoing works, which focus on enhancing the efficiency of the dock's infrastructure. These works include the development of loading and unloading systems, the installation of modern safety equipment, and the reinforcement of the structural integrity to ensure its durability and sustainability.
This strategic project aims to increase the port's capacity and enable it to accommodate large commercial vessels, which will directly contribute to enhancing trade movement and reducing vessel waiting times.
During the visit, the Director General emphasized the utmost importance of this project, which represents a fundamental pillar in achieving the port's developmental vision for 2030 in the field of transportation and logistics services.
