The President of the Republic visits the Autonomous Port of Nouadhibou

July 28th, 2025, His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr.Mohamed Ould Cheikh EL GHAZOUANI, visited the Autonomous Port of Nouadhibou to lay the foundation stone for the project to complete the rehabilitation of the commercial quay. Upon arrival, the President was received by the Port General Director Mr. Ahmed Ould Sid’Ahmed Ould DIÉ surrounded by port’s management staff. The President then proceeded to unveil the project's commemorative plaque. Subsequently, His Excellency listened to detailed explanations from the General Director about the project phases, implementation schedule and strategic objectives. His Excellency emphasized the strategic importance of the project in supporting the national economy and enhancing the port's logistical capabilities. In conclusion, the President praised the efforts made and directed the necessity of adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety during implementation phases. This project is part of the comprehensive development plan for national ports and contributes to enhancing the port's position as a leading regional commercial hub.
